Aral Sea Foundation

I have been looking hard to find a likely cause to donate to, but haven't had much luck. Most of the programs that show up on the internet are either discontinued or too obscure to be sure that what they're doing corresponds to what I think are the most pressing issues of the Aral Sea region. However, I just recently found The Aral Sea Foundation, based out of Delaware, US. The projects currently being implemented are:

"• Water Pump and Filter installation in Tahtakupyr, Zhasliq, Beruniy, Chimbay, Turtkul

• Delivering clean drinking water to all major Orphanages in Karakalpakstan

• Planting Trees in Muynaq city line "

The functions of the water-related projects are obvious, but the planting of trees would help block some of the salt and chemicals being carried by the wind, helping to decrease pollution and desertification.
